Description: 
Poppy is half Fell. Sired by Brough Hill Hadrian's Wall out of Nutmeg who is 1/2 Morgan, 1/4 Welsh, 1/4 Shetland. She is black with a small inside hind heel of white. She is registered with the American Draft Pony Association. She should at least mature to 12.2h and be able to carry 175 pounds. She is turning into a very pretty, feminine 2 yr old and is ready for starting more serious ground work. She halters well, trailers well, and has had basic handling experiences. She spent a weekend a year ago at an Agricultural Festival where she was part of the petting zoo and did very well. She is sweet and gentle but needs work with fast movements around her which she does jump back from, though she doesn't usually take off. She needs time with the same person to start her training. Due to moving farm, she is currently at my cousin's house, so I'm not able to work with her.

Poppy is a lovely, black 1/2 Fell 2 yr old filly ready for a partner to learn with.
Poppy's sire, Hadrian, is a solid black Fell stallion, featured on the cover of Horse Illustrated, Jan 2005. He is 13hh and an excellent disposition. He has represented the Fell Pony breed on the west coast at expos, shows and parades. He currently is owned by Fell Legend Farm in Lincoln, Ca.

Poppy's dam is a bay crossbred with Morgan and Welsh showing the most in her. She is a well proprtioned pony who in the pasture with no comparisons, seems taller than she is. She is about 12h. She has an excellent disposition. She is very motherly to both young humans and young animals in her care. She has been started and loves to jump. Poppy is her 2nd foal. Poppy's full sister is also for sale (bay filly, Tamarind).

Poppy has lovely movement and excellent conformation. She's ready for someone to work with her on a more regular basis. She is located in Medford, Oregon and a visit to her can be arranged. Delivery to some parts of the Pacific Northwest is also possible.
